ABOUT US

HISTORY

1860‒1979

The company "Eduard Dörrenbergs Söhne" was founded in 1860 by Friedrich, Rudolph and Eduard Dörrenberg. Through the acquisition of the Ründerother Hammer, the company established itself as a manufacturer of high-quality refined steel and in 1875 developed the stainless steel Janus, which laid the foundation for today's Dörrenberg logo. In the years that followed, Dörrenberg focused on technical innovations and expanded its business areas, such as the introduction of coating processes and the establishment of new company branches.

MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS & QUALITY

Quality Management

To ensure consistent structures, processes, and results, we work in compliance with DIN EN ISO 9001. This is complemented by certified welding quality according to DIN EN ISO 3834 and by conformity with Directive 2014/68/EU for pressure-bearing applications.
This ensures reproducible quality throughout the entire product life cycle.

Environmental Management

Our environmental management system, certified according to DIN EN ISO 14001, provides the foundation for defining goals, implementing measures, and monitoring progress. This ensures systematic compliance with environmental and legal requirements.

Energy Management

Since our initial certification in 2011 by TÜV Nord, energy management according to DIN EN ISO 50001 has formed the basis for recording energy consumption, identifying potential improvements, and measurably reducing emissions. The system supports transparency and continuous improvement.

TISAX® – Information Security

TISAX®, based on ISO/IEC 27001, addresses the specific requirements of the automotive industry regarding information security. Verified implementation protects data and development content along the entire value chain.

SUSTAINABILITY & COMPLIANCE

CSR Compliance / Supplier Code of Conduct

We adhere to international conventions, national laws, embargoes, and intellectual property rights, and apply our management systems consistently. This compliance covers the required sustainability criteria; to reduce administrative effort, we avoid redundant questionnaires, portals, or signatures.
